The aim of this laboratory session is to apply analytical methods, such as gas chromatography, for use in fire incidents. To this end, students will first familiarise themselves with the VCI combustion furnace. The session will also cover the structure-property relationships of combustible materials and emissions. The experiment handout is available for download in the corresponding Moodle course.
