The aim of this laboratory session is to provide an introduction to chemical separation techniques used in instrumental analysis. To this end, typical combustion emissions such as the BTX aromatics(benzene, toluene, xylene) are analysed using gas chromatography. Furthermore, this laboratory is intended to help improve students’ ability to write scientific reports. The experiment handout is available for download in the corresponding Moodle course.
