Flame photometry

FP8400 flame photometer from Krüss

The aim of this laboratory session is the practical application of flame photometry for the analytical determination of constituents in contaminated aqueous solutions, which may arise, for example, as a result of thermal runaway in lithium-ion batteries. Furthermore, the results obtained are assessed in terms of their toxicity and classified from a technical perspective in the context of potential hazards. The experiment handout is available for download in the corresponding Moodle course.
